Your game, your browser
Privacy
You don't need an account to play 9 Words. This page explains the data used by the game.

Game data on your device
The game uses your browser's local storage to remember daily puzzle progress, results, statistics, and preferences. This allows you to return to a puzzle and view your past performance on the same browser.
This game data is stored locally. The application does not send your answers or statistics to a game server, and it does not synchronize progress between devices. Private browsing, storage restrictions, or clearing site data may prevent or remove saved progress.
Hosting and ordinary requests
Visiting a website sends requests to its hosting provider. The provider may process technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time in order to deliver the site, keep it secure, and maintain service logs. The provider's own policies and retention practices govern those logs.
The site currently includes no advertising scripts, third-party analytics, account system, or application tracking cookies. If these features are introduced, this notice should be updated to explain them.
Sharing a result
Sharing is optional. When you choose to share, the game prepares a short text summary of your result. Your device may offer its share menu, or the game may copy that text to your clipboard. The game does not automatically post on your behalf.
Clearing your data
You can delete saved game data through your browser's settings for this website. Look for site data or local storage under privacy or site permissions. Clearing it removes the game's saved progress and statistics for that browser. You can continue to play afterward.

If you follow a link to a different website, that website's privacy practices apply. Sharing a result through another app also follows that app's policies.
